Typical Countersinking Details
« on: September 06, 2016, 02:18:21 AM »
Hey guys,

Does anyone have any info on standard/typical details for countersunk holes? Just after some general rules-of-thumb.

Thanks for any help.

Usually I draw the edges at 45 degrees, flaring out at least 1/4 diameter = 1.5D, but actual installation depends on the shape of the underside of the fastener to be fitted, and the angle of the drill bits available

Is drawing the edges at 45 degrees the norm?
