New here and Asking Advice on Resume
« on: September 30, 2019, 02:20:03 PM »
Good Day Everyone,
I've been a mech drafter for the past 22 years and have done everything from HVAC design layouts, to Cfan/axial fan/sheet metal manufacturing to process piping, Inventor modelling for astronomical telescope and urainium mining water treatment upgrades.
My question is I am having a tough go trying to make my resume easy for recruiters to read - because of my "bouncing around" in so many different areas of mechanical drafting - many people are at a lose of my background.
I live in Alberta Canada and due to the brutal down turn in the oil industry out here (and the subsequent domino effect) there is very little work. I have been trying my best to move away from the industry into other areas.
I have experience in Inventor, CADWorx, Plant, microstation, Solidworks (hands on only), Revit, autocad mechanical, etc
Any advice on how to make my resume standout and to word it so people can understand that I am a simple mech drafter looking for mech drafting opportunities.
Thanks everyone  :)
